Only a dam Democrat thinks that only allowing live, of age legal citizens voting is discrimination.

This is good news.

The LEGAL voters of NC voted FOR voter ID. The MAJORITY of NC voters APPROVE of voter ID laws. More than half of the states in the US have voter ID requirements. The NC Supreme Court decided the NC voter ID law was constitutional and therefore legal. It was not the conservative party that sued, and appealed multiple times, to keep it from being enforced. Wonder why that was?

We need to disenfranchise those of another franchise. I belong to the AMERICAN Franchise and am a LEGAL voter proud to present my AMERICAN identification. Good job turning back the frauds

What antZ is whining about is way less than one tenth of one percent of folks attempting to vote on March 5th did not have their vote counted because they were too stupid to conform to our newly enacted voter laws in North Carolina.

This was of no consequence in the outcome AND can be ignored as it is little more than liberal leftist BS.

Probably a drop in the bucket.

Antithesis,
"If you can find that information, please do share it!"

You started this thread, you do the research.
I'm fine knowing that votes cast without ID or the filling of the proper paperwork are not counted, regardless of the sex, age, race or party affiliation of the person who cast the ballot.

We don't know if any of these ballots were legally cast or not.

Considering that, historically, we have less than 5 ballots cast that weren't legal... it's probably safe to assume that at least 1596 of them were legal.

How many were black and how many were white? How many were republicans and how many were democrats?

If you can find that information, please do share it!

Antithesis,
"1600 legal votes that were just thrown out "

Not true, 473 provisional ballots were not counted, almost all were because the voter did not fill out the appropriate form or present an ID at their board of elections. A few dozen votes were thrown out because their form was not accepted. We don't know if any of these ballots were legally cast or not.

Anti, do the rest of the story. How many were black and how many were white? How many were republicans and how many were democrats?

Interesting... now it's "only a **** Democrat" that cares about Constitutional rights of the citizens?

We've always known that's how you feel, it's just really refreshing for someone like you to actually admit it. Good for you!

Provisional data from the state shows that 1,185 voters were forced to cast provisional ballots due to the new photo ID requirement. That works out to about one out of every 1,520 votes cast.

A majority of those votes were ultimately counted after the voter either filled out an ID Exception Form or went to their local board of elections and presented an acceptable form of ID after initially voting but before the canvass took place.

Of the 473 provisional ballots that were not counted, almost all were because the voter did not fill out the appropriate form or present an ID at their board of elections. A few dozen votes were thrown out because their form was not accepted.

...

In the 2024 primary, when mail-in ballots were due by election night, 1,128 came back late, which represents a 41 percent increase from the previous presidential primary.
