Are some of you so stupid that you don't comprehend that where the money comes from has nothing to do with how quick the project gets moving? Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos could send up a cargo ship full of gold bullion, on Monday, and it won't get a government bridge project moving any faster. Bureaucracy, and fear of liability, dictates the speed. There will be six months of testing to make sure the remaining parts of the bridge are still safe to build on. Then the whole letting process will still have to take place. Given the essence of time, they may hold a special circumstance letting, but most states only bid highway projects one time a year.
